![]() The couple itself and their connection really won me over with this one. There were definitely a couple times where I wanted to shake the main characters for decisions they were making, but they also tried to be smart about their bad decisions if that makes sense. The romantic suspense plot line was multi layered as usual with a Catherine Cowles story. I thoroughly enjoyed how they could read each other, and that even though they’re not good at opening up, they definitely work at trying to be very honest and straightforward with each other. Their friendship is such a perfect foundation for a relationship. There’s just something about their connection over the years and how they come back together. I honestly can’t stop thinking about them. While I love a good romantic suspense plot line–one of the reasons I always adore Catherine’s books–the couple really was EVERYTHING in this book! The funny part is that I’m not a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope, but Catherine seriously killed it with Nash and Maddie. ![]() ![]() Review: The Hartleys are proving to be a new favorite book family for me! I love that we get to know them more with each book. ![]()
